What is the difference between ovens and microwaves?

Electric or gas ovens use the heat generated by gas or electricity to cook food. Thus, many specialists consider cooking in an oven to be healthier.

The first important feature of CAN is that all its ovens on the market are electric. The brand does not manufacture gas or electric-gas ovens because the food cooked in gas ovens has a different taste to food cooked in an electric oven due to the burning gas and lacks the same quality.

The capacity of CAN ovens available on the market is the standard 65 liters. The dimensions also generally conform to the 600x565x600 milliliter standards. However, slight design adjustments have been made to certain models to make them smaller by a few millimeters to allow for more compatibility with the cabinetry.

High efficiency and low energy loss

The inner walls of CAN ovens are insulated with ceramic wool, which is safer than glass wool because engineers believe that thin glass wool fibers may contaminate the food when the fan is on. This is not an issue with ceramic wool. Manufacturers of imported ovens also use ceramic wool for insulation for higher efficiency and low energy loss.

An additional feature of CAN ovens is their triple-glazed, LOW-E glass doors. The LOW-E coating provides high efficiency with low energy losses by reflecting the heat back into the oven when the glass is hot instead of transferring it outside. When using a CAN oven, it is noticeable that the handle and outer glass layer are not significantly hot due to the precise insulation of the product.

Generally, oven manufacturers use the LOW-E coating on the second (middle) glass which is not seen; however, it must be noted that the LOW-E coating in CAN ovens is applied to the inner glass of the triple-glazing and avoids the transfer of heat from the inner glass to the middle glass which is a common occurrence in most ovens. Thus, the heat is reflected back from the first inner glass at source and never reaches the second middle glass. This significantly reduces heat loss in CAN ovens compared to other ovens available on the market.

Oven cleaning features

All CAN ovens come with an easy-clean feature for the interior enamel. Models such as the E6597M (steel) and 6957E also have a self-cleaning feature that raises oven temperatures to levels that melt grease residues from previous cooking and transfer them to the bottom of the oven.

Meat probe sensor

An attractive option in many CAN models is the meat probe sensor. This is a thermometer with a socket and a spike that can be inserted into the meat during cooking, alerting you to the desired temperature. For instance, if the internal temperature of the meat must reach 95 ͦ C to complete the cooking, the sensor adjusts the heat and stops the cooking process once this internal temperature is reached. When the sensor socket is connected, the cooking temperature is displayed on the oven display panel. A meat probe sensor is very convenient for dishes that must be cooked to a specific doneness.

Aero chef

An option in the new CAN ovens is the air fryer branded as “Aerochef” which works with a convection fan and a circular heating element, cooking the food with hot air instead of oil. Healthier French fries can be prepared with this option without being fried in oil. This is a new option offered by CAN ovens that is not yet on offer by other Iranian in-built oven manufacturers, giving CAN a competitive edge even against competing imported ovens.

Automatic cooling fan for durability

As the aroma and taste of oven-cooked meals are so appealing and distracting that people forget to turn on the oven fan at the end of the cooking process, an automatic cooling fan feature has been embedded in CAN ovens.

The fans are turned on automatically and the air circulation helps reduce the oven heat when turned off at high temperatures, preventing damage to the electronic boards and adding to the durability of its components. Such refined features guarantee the optimal function of all CAN ovens for 24 months.

It is imperative to turn on the cooling fan at the end of the cooking and baking process to increase the lifespan of the oven. An automatic cooling fan has been embedded in CAN ovens.
